– Delivery Zone A: Free delivery and collection within 15kms of central Peniche including Almagreira, Atouguia da Baleia, Baleal, Consolação, Ferrel, Pico da Mota, São Bernardino and Serra d’ El-Rei for all bookings of €20 or more. (for bookings below €20, a €5 delivery fee applies)
– Delivery Zone B: €10 delivery fee each way (€20 both ways) for locations within 16 to 45kms of central Peniche including Areia Branca, Bombarral, Caldas da Rainha, Foz do Arelho, Lourinhã, Praia D’El Rey and Santa Cruz for all bookings of €20 or more (excluding delivery fee).
Delivery Zone C: €20 delivery fee each way (€40 both ways) for locations within 46 to 75kms of central Peniche including Ericeira, Nazaré and São Martinho do Porto for all bookings of €40 or more (excluding delivery fee).
– Delivery Zone D: €30 delivery fee each way (€60 both ways) for locations within 76 to 120kms of central Peniche including Cascais, Costa Caparica, Humberto Delgado Airport, Lisbon, Leiria and Sintra for all bookings of €60 or more (excluding delivery fee).

About Us
Surf Stash, now led by Guillaume Mallet, was founded in 2021 by Lawrence Stevenson, a long-time recreational surfer who swears he’s not addicted. :))
“Having done my fair share of travelling to surf destinations, I always found myself stuck between either paying ridiculous airline fees to transport my boards and worrying about baggage handlers, or taking my chances that I would find a decent, reasonably priced surfboard to rent when I got there. I figured there had to be a way to make my favourite natural high more accessible.”

We are a 100% online rental service. You order online, we deliver your surfboard and wetsuit directly to your accommodation or chosen beach in Peniche or Baleal. When your rental ends, we collect the equipment. No shop visit needed.
Is delivery really free in Peniche and Baleal?
Yes. Free delivery and pick-up is included within 15 km of central Peniche (Zone A – covering Peniche, Baleal, Lourinhã, Santa Cruz, etc.) for bookings of €20 or more.
What are the delivery zones and prices outside Peniche?
– Zone A (0-15 km): Free delivery & pick-up
– Zone B (16-45 km),
– Zone C (46-75 km),
– Zone D (76-120 km): Affordable paid delivery (Lisbon, Ericeira, Nazaré, etc.).

We offer a wide range of premium boards: beginner soft-tops, hybrid funboards, high-performance shortboards, and longboards from top brands (Al Merrick, Pyzel, NSP, Firewire, Envy, etc.). Wetsuits for all seasons are also available.
How much does it cost to rent a surfboard in Peniche?
Prices are degressive: from around €25/day for short rentals down to €12-20/day for weekly and monthly rentals. Weekly rentals start from €60. Exact pricing updates live based on dates and board type.
Do I need to be an experienced surfer to rent from you?
No. We cater to all levels — from complete beginners to advanced surfers. We can help you choose the right board according to your level, weight, and the current surf conditions.
Can I book a surfboard last minute or for same-day delivery?

What is included with every surfboard rental?
Every rental includes a protective board bag, fins, and leash. Boards are delivered waxed and ready to surf.
